Working at the “Transition Services” IT team, which is part of Service Management and is in charge of Release & Configuration Management, you will:
- Assist with capturing the full release scope, including the dependencies
- Monitor the status, quality and deadlines of the software that is delivered by the IT teams
- Be responsible for preparing the deployment instructions and challenging the latter in terms of completeness, clarity and accuracy, in close collaboration with the IT managers, system analysts, developers and infrastructure teams
- Follow up the deployments, during the releases, that are performed by the Infrastructure and Mainframe teams
- Deliver, maintain and continuously improve the relevant tools for the developers, analysts and infrastructure teams with a view to capturing the deployment instructions You will also ensure that the relevant people correctly implement these instructions.
- Assist with and take initiatives to monitor the appropriate implementation and the continuous improvement of the release and configuration management processes and procedures
- Monitor and provide support for the correct use of the software configuration management tools by the developers
- Support the stakeholders of Release & Configuration management with release and configuration management-related questions and problems
- Attend various governance meetings as the liaison for Release & Configuration management, identify the main topics relevant to your domain and provide feedback on these matters to all stakeholders
- Take initiatives to prepare reports for management, analysts, testers and developers, which are to be automated as widely as possible through the tools used
Qualifications
- You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch .
- You have experience in software development, software release management and/or software configuration management
- You are a good team player and are equally capable of working on a self-reliant basis. Moreover you use your own initiative.
- You take an interest in the development of the organisation and the technologies used and take it upon yourself to suggest and implement adjustments and continuous improvements in this context
- You are prepared to invest in furthering your skills
- You have good Dutch and English verbal and written communication skills
- Your critical mindset is complemented by your constructive approach
- An understanding of and experience in one or several of the tools below is a definite plus:
- Github, Endevor, Jenkins, CA/Release Automation, JIRA, Sharepoint
