He/she will be part of Mentis Internal research team that develops advanced analytics models and solutions for our operations and clients. In the Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer role, the candidate will be challenged to create innovative technology solutions at the intersection of language analysis, data-driven insights and logic-based workflow. The Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineers core responsibilities will involve building tools that advances our text mining and machine learning platform. The ideal candidate is a clever and versatile coder with a hacker mentality who is eager to tackle complex problems. The Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer must be comfortable working in an agile development environment with high expectations for rapid delivery of prototypes, changing requirements, and direct feedback from internal and external customer. **Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:** * Develop appropriate text analytics techniques to develop appropriate analytic solutions for unstructured data from different sources. * Build and develop systems which demonstrate and make accessible the underlying research technology to solve the real time NLP problems. * Participating in basic and applied research on a wide array of text analytics and machine learning projects.
**Applicants are expected to have exposure to some (but not all) of the following:** * Ability to code in Python and R languages * An understanding in data structures, algorithms and software design * Is Self-Driven and prefers working in an agile manner. * Demonstrated ability to take bold initiatives and the ability to solve hard problems, prioritize work and make decisions.
