Use your creative skills to devise communications solutions for a global company. You will work directly with our Global Head of Communications engaging our diverse and global workforce and industry stakeholders through various digital communications and social media. You will get broad exposure, freedom to deliver and the hands-on experience to develop a good understanding of the role that communications plays in a global company.

You will become part of a small team tasked with shaping the company’s global corporate communications. We have many exciting projects that we are looking to take to the next level, and you will have the opportunity to really take ownership and leave your mark. Our team offers a level of freedom and flexibility with a mix of reoccurring and ad-hoc tasks. You will apply your knowledge and skills to a wide range of communications challenges, gaining valuable work experience while growing your professional network.
Work hours are flexible, especially around examination periods. We expect you to work approximately twenty hours per week.

Key responsibilities

As a student assistant in Communications, you will be working closely with colleagues in Copenhagen and across the globe to deliver the following:

  • Social Media content creation and community management
  • Video editing
  • Creation and maintenance of digital photo libraries
  • Production of analytics reports
  • Maintenance of Svitzer’s Corporate Presentation
  • Graphic design support
  • Coordination of the production of an annual calendar
  • Ad-hoc support on internal communications and light administrative tasks

We are looking for

You are a confident, self-starter who enjoys freedom to operate independently and takes pride in delivering quality work. You demonstrate excellent to native levels of proficiency in both verbal and written English.

  • You are in your Bachelor’s or in the early part of your Master’s in graphic design, multi-media, communications or a related field.
  • You are experienced in Adobe creative suites (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro etc.) and have video editing skills.
  • You have a passion for communication and storytelling using visual media.
  • You are a flexible multi-tasker, who approaches tasks with a willingness to learn.
  • You are open to the evolving challenges of a busy, international work environment.
  • You are comfortable working independently and as part of a bigger team.
  • A student work permit is required if you are not an EU citizen.
