About the Danish National Genome Center
The Danish National Genome Center’s primary task is to lay the foundation for the development of better diagnostics and more targeted treatments using whole genome sequencing. The Center has a national responsibility to develop state of the art infrastructure to enable analysis on big biomedical heterogenous data.
One of the Danish National Genome Center’s main goals is to be at the forefront of new big data solutions in the healthcare domain. The Danish National Genome Center is working with HPC, cloud, network, servers, storage, applications, users and cross-cutting processes in a Linux software environment.
About the position
We are looking for a security and compliance analyst for the high performance computing team. You will be part of a growing team managing the security and compliance of a very high performance Linux cluster as well as participate in designing and implementing new services.
As a compliance analyst, you will be building and managing systems used for compliance and advanced analytics including reporting to the stakeholders periodically. You will develop new processes and maintain the compliance infrastructure. Your responsibilities will relate mostly to the backend systems. Your main tasks will include:
  • Monitor an ensure implementation of new compliance requirements
  • Discuss emerging compliance issues and access the risk
  • File appropriate compliance reports both with regulatory agencies and internally
  • Evaluate testing procedures to meet the specifications of the internal standards
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities
  • Participate and manage design and deployment of the new security and compliance systems
  • Provide training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures and document
  • Arrange regular meetings in the center to provide overview of the progress and actions
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in relevant professional societies.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
  • A background in Computer Science, security, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Information security management
  • Experience with Compliance standards and experience in implementing them.

The Danish National Genome Center is an organisation under the Danish Ministry of Health and is located at Ørestads Boulevard 5, 2300 København S, together with Statens Serum Institute and the Danish Health Data Authority. The organisation is expected to have a core of approx. 100 employees.
Terms of employment
Depending on your educational background and level of experience, salary and appointment terms will be based on either
  • the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC) ( overenskomst for akademikere i staten ). Depending on your academic qualifications and experience there is a possibility of being classified as a special or senior consultant according to appendix 4 “protocol concerning special- and senior consultants” ( Protokollat om specialkonsulenter og chefkonsulenter ).

  • the organizational agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation for Salaried Employees HK/Stat ( Organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og it-medarbejdere (HK) ), according to chapter 5 in the agreement and the collective agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation of Public Employees ( OAO-S-Fællesoverenskomsten ).
The position is a full time position and is available from 1 December 2019.
