With our HQ in North Carolina, we have operations in more than 30 countries and an even broader customer base worldwide. Our 4,900 employees innovate to design, deliver and service high-value solutions for our customers across the food, beverage and industrial markets.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a collaborative Lead Process Engineer to join us at our operation in Silkeborg and lead our team of six engineers.

    About the role

As a Lead Process Engineer, you’ll be a responsible for the delivery of engineering design outputs for projects and, bid proposals, where necessary. You’ll have responsibility for the technical scope of the project/proposal (or, in some cases, a sub-area of the scope).

You’ll be managing projects of all sizes. For example, on large projects, you could be responsible for over 1,000 hours of engineering. Or, you may be managing 3-5 smaller projects at any given time. Therefore, your success will depend on you how well you manage the processes and make key decisions around the scope of the project.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership to engineers
  • Acting as the interface point for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring adherence with relevant SPX Flow procedures and practices (e.g. IDEFs)
  • Managing the engineering process to ensure outputs meet schedule, budgetary and quality requirements
  • Ensuring that the scope delivered from engineering is aligned with the agreed contract or proposal requirements
  • Requirements

We’re looking for engineering leaders. This is a challenging role where you’ll be liaising directly with our customers and various levels of stakeholders. So you’ll need to be a strong communicator.

Ideally, you’ll already be working in a team leading capacity, or as a Process Team Leader. You could be currently working as a Technologist, a Process Specialist or a Production Manager. We’d also be interested in hearing from Senior Engineers looking to go into their first management role.

As a minimum, we would be looking for you to have:

  • Experience in Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical or other hygienic industries
  • A technical or project management degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience of working within, or leading, a technically oriented team
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • AutoCAD software experience
Although not essential, it would be nice if you have:
  • Experience of using scheduling tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • SAP experience
    Career Progression
  • At SPX Flow, we’re driven by ingenuity with a focus on meeting our customers’ needs. Our people have a commitment to hard work, innovation and delivering market leading solutions to our customers. That commitment has brought many rewards to our employees, past and present.

If you have ambition and want to build a career with us, we can offer you genuine progression and development opportunities. As this is a newly created role, there is also great potential to create new opportunities as your career progresses.

We offer a competitive benefits package to our employees including:

  • Annual bonus (depending on company and personal performance)
  • An excellent onboarding and training process.
  • Have a healthy work-life balance through our well-being programmes
  • Feel valued at work thanks to our performance & recognition programmes
  • Keep your career on track with our development & career growth programmes
